Overview
The General Manager Sales & Services (GMSS) is responsible for managing and executing the sales and customer service operations across all business segments of Tandoori. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring achievement of sales targets, managing key customer relationships, enhancing service quality, and leading sales teams to deliver outstanding business results.
The GMSS shall collaborate closely with the Director Sales & Services (DSS)to execute strategic initiatives, monitor operational performance, and ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Execution
- Execute sales strategies and action plans developed in alignment with the Group’s business objectives.
- Drive achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across all Tandoori Branches.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure consistent sales processes, standards, and best practices across all branches.
- Support sales teams in securing high-value accounts and strategic business opportunities.
Team Management & Performance
- Lead and supervise Tandoori Sales Team (Cluster Managers, Restaurant Managers, etc)
- Establish clear performance objectives and monitor team KPIs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development initiatives.
- Foster a results-driven culture focused on customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Identify talent development needs and support succession planning initiatives.
Revenue Growth & Business Development
- Identify opportunities to increase sales revenue through existing and new customer channels.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event organizers, government entities, and key business partners.
- Support business expansion initiatives by identifying emerging market opportunities.
- Participate in negotiations and preparation of proposals for major contracts and partnerships.
Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained across all business segments.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvement initiatives.
- Manage key customer relationships and support retention strategies.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and service-related issues effectively.
Sales Planning & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Analyse sales trends, market developments, and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.
- Track and report segment-wise performance against established targets.
- Provide regular operational updates and recommendations to the Director Sales & Services.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Marketing to support promotional campaigns, lead generation, and brand-building activities.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure pricing compliance, revenue optimization, and collection targets.
- Support implementation of new products, services, and business initiatives.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and sales governance standards.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer databases, and CRM systems.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree will be an added advantage.
- 8–10 years of progressive sales experience with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Experience within hospitality, catering, events, retail, or related service industries preferred.
