General Manager-Schools

About Company & Role Purpose

A reputable private school is seeking a dynamic, values-driven, and visionary General Manager to lead all academic, administrative, and operational functions. The candidate must uphold and promote strong ethics, positive behavior, and respect for Islamic and national values, while driving educational excellence and compliance with national standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

General

· Provide strategic leadership and clear operational direction for the school.

· Oversee daily operations, resources, and staff performance across academic and administrative departments.

· Lead by example in upholding high Islamic & moral standards, ethics, and professional conduct.

· Promote and reinforce core values, good behaviour, and respectful interactions among students, staff, and parents.

· Mentor academic and administrative teams to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and school management.

· Monitor academic performance and ensure continuous improvement through data-driven decisions.

· Develop and implement policies aligned with national and international best practices.

· Ensure full compliance with Ministry of Education and BQA (Education & Training Quality Authority) standards.

· Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation effectively.

· Foster a positive, inclusive school culture that balances academic rigor with character development.

· Liaise with parents, community stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

· Lead strategic initiatives such as curriculum development, staff training, and facility upgrades.

BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

· Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.

· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in education, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Principal, Vice Principal, General Manager, or similar).

· Proven ability to foster a positive school culture grounded in values and discipline.

· Strong knowledge of Bahrain’s education regulatory framework (Ministry of Education, BQA standards) is highly preferred.

· Experience in private school management or similar educational institutions.

·

· Fluency in Arabic and English (required for effective communication with staff, parents, and regulators).

· Financial acumen (budgeting, resource allocation).

· Conflict resolution and mediation skills.

· High integrity, ethics, and cultural sensitivity aligned with Islamic values.

· Proficiency in school management information systems (MIS) and MS Office.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: BD1,800.000 - BD2,000.000 per month
