General Nurse

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred education in a Nursing Degree Diploma after High School.
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
- Required certification/license: valid Nursing license from the country of origin.
- Proven experience as a Registered General Nurse.
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR).
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
- Respectful and compassionate.
- Good time management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ethics.
- Physical endurance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the process which ensures that patient care is delivered in accordance with established policies and procedures and nursing standards.
- Provides education to staff based on theoretical and clinical expertise.
- This position will be accountable to ensure clinical resources and continuity of patient care during their/duty hours.
- Provides direct patient care and serves as a clinical resource,
- Maintains and demonstrates clinical competence in all aspects of care provided.
- Acts as a clinical resource in assessing complex patient care needs and in determining appropriate
- Interventions: recommend alternative approaches.
- Utilizes critical thinking when making clinical judgments, managing conflicts and solving patient care issues.
- Assesses and reassesses patient needs and response to care, treatment and education.
- Provides care according to the plan of care.
- Anticipates, recognizes and manages emergent and unsafe situations/practices and initiates appropriate interventions.
- Demonstrates knowledge of legal aspects of patient care and nursing practice.
- Actively communicates the care of the patient through communication and written documentation to all disciplines involved in patient care.
- Complies with the company’s policies/procedures, and standards.
- Enhance own professional growth by meeting mandatory educational requirements.
- Adapts positively to the company’s changes in practice and delivery of patient care.
- Maintains and promotes customer satisfaction through effective customer service.
- Maintains confidentiality in relation to patient, employee and company’s information.
- Practices professional communication and customer service skills with all customer groups.
- Acts in a courteous, sensitive and professional manner.
- Meets customer needs without delay: Patient, employee, visitor, relatives and other staff.
- Ensure that patients/ family/ significant others are provided with adequate and appropriate information and reassurance prior to any medical and nursing intervention.
- Conducts self that gives credit to the nursing profession and a good public image to the institution.
- Respects patient rights and privacy.
- Administers medications and therapies in a safe, timely and effective manner.
- Adheres to prescribed therapy, seeks clarification of orders that are incomplete, questionable or ambiguous.
- Adheres to the policy of medication administration.
- Documents patient care provided in accordance with nursing standards.
- Data is legibly and correctly documented and signed on all documents.
- Determines nursing interventions that will meet the developmental needs of the specific age group.
- Identifies patient education needs at admission and during hospitalization.
- Promotes the development of clinical skills of the nurse orientee and nurse trainee
- Adheres to infection control and environmental care standards and practices.
- Attend to emergency/crisis situation effectively.
