Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Patient Assessment & Care: Assessing patient conditions, recording health histories, and providing daily care to ill or injured patients.
- Treatment & Medication: Administering medications (oral, IV), changing wound dressings, and performing diagnostic tests.
- Collaboration: Working with doctors and healthcare staff to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitoring & Recording: Monitoring vital signs, operating medical equipment, and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Education & Support: Teaching patients and families about illness management and post-treatment care.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintaining a safe, hygienic environment and adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Licensure: Valid state nursing license (RN).
- Skills: Proficiency in medical software, strong communication, critical thinking, and empathy.
- Certifications: Often requires Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Work Environment
Hospital nurses work in various departments, including Emergency Rooms (ER), Intensive Care Units (ICU), surgical units, and general medical wards, often involving shift work, weekends, and holidays. FREE FOOD AND ACCOMODATION.
