Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Greeting & Check-in: Welcoming visitors, checking them in, and updating patient demographic and insurance information in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Scheduling: Booking, rescheduling, and confirming appointments via phone or in-person.
  • Communication: Managing high-volume phone systems, taking messages, and directing inquiries to appropriate departments.
  • Administrative Support: Filing, scanning documents, ordering office supplies, and managing patient flow.
  • Patient Experience & Safety: Maintaining a clean, secure, and compassionate environment for patients and families, sometimes calming distressed individuals.
  • Billing & Compliance: Assisting with insurance verification, collecting co-payments, and ensuring strict adherence to privacy regulations (HIPAA).

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is usually required.
  • Experience: Previous administrative or customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication (written/verbal), multitasking, organizational, and proficiency in MS Office and medical scheduling software.
  • Attributes: Calm under pressure, empathetic, and detail-oriented.

Typical Working Conditions

  • Standard 37.5–40 hour work weeks.
  • Shifts may include evenings, weekends, or nights to cover 24/7 hospital operations.

Pay: KD250.000 - KD350.000 per month
