General Physician

• Diagnosis and treatment: Examine patients, take medical histories, and diagnose illnesses and injuries.
• Patient care: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide counseling on lifestyle changes for health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Diagnostic management: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and blood tests.
• Referral to specialists: Refer patients to other medical specialists when their condition requires further evaluation or treatment.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patient progress and treatment plans.
• Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, specialists, and pharmacists, to coordinate patient care.
• Continuous learning: Stay current with the latest medical research, guidelines, and advancements.

Essential skills and qualifications

• Medical degree (e.g., MD or DO) and completion of a residency.
• A state license to practice medicine.
