General Practitioner (Functional Medicine) - Dubai based - Health and wellness background - Must have Functional Medicine experience

The RIG Recruitment is working with a client who is a market leader in the health and wellness space. The client has many clinics based in Dubai and is always expanding. The client is looking for a General Practitioner (Functional Medicine)

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Perform thorough patient evaluations including detailed medical history, lifestyle assessment, nutritional status, sleep, stress, environmental exposures, and social determinants of health.
• Order, interpret, and explain conventional and functional diagnostic tests (e.g., advanced hormone panels, GI testing, micronutrient analysis, metabolic assessments).
• Develop individualized care plans incorporating evidence-based functional medicine protocols, lifestyle interventions, nutrition counseling, supplements, and medications as appropriate.
• Provide ongoing management of acute and chronic conditions (e.g., metabolic syndrome, autoimmune disorders, digestive issues, hormonal imbalance, fatigue, stress-related conditions).
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes and biomarkers.

Patient Education & Communication

• Educate patients on functional medicine principles, lifestyle modification, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with nutritionists, health coaches, and other integrative practitioners to support holistic care.
• Maintain a patient-centered environment emphasizing partnership, empowerment, and behavior change.

Documentation & Compliance

• Accurately document medical histories, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-ups in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Ensure compliance with medical, ethical, and regulatory standards, including prescribing and lab-ordering guidelines

Practice Development (optional depending on employer)

• Participate in program design, protocol development, and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to patient education materials, workshops, or community outreach.
• Stay current with functional medicine research, continuing education, and certification requirements.

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO degree; board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or similar field.
• Active, unrestricted medical license.
• Experience in primary care, preventive medicine, or integrative medicine.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered care philosophy.

Preferred

• Functional medicine training or certification (e.g., IFM Certified Practitioner).
• Experience with lifestyle medicine, nutrition, integrative therapies, or chronic disease management.
• Familiarity with functional testing and interpretation.
• Comfort with longer appointment formats and collaborative care models.

MUST HAVE DHA LICENSE.

I have a salary budget of 40,000 - 60,000 AED per month + medical + Visa + flights + commission.
