We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This role is pivotal in managing procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, and fostering supplier relationships to support our operational needs and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities

implement procurement policies to achieve cost-saving targets by identifying and qualifying new suppliers with competitive pricing.

Manage the procurement of chemical reagents, APIs, salts, antigens, antibodies, and media while ensuring quality and compliance.

Track purchase orders, monitor vendor quality, and maintain an updated supplier database.

Oversee sourcing, monitoring, and purchasing of laboratory reagents, raw materials, kits, and lab consumables in collaboration with technical teams.

Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the company's sourcing strategy.

Ensure the implementation of purchasing policies and procedures while directing procurement programs.

Supervise the selection and ordering of materials, supplies, and services from vendors.

Communicate specification changes, change orders, quantities, and adjustments with suppliers.

Review purchased item quantities vs. actual production demand to ensure procurement efficiency.

Collaborate with Demand Planning to prioritize procurement activities and generate purchase orders.

Monitor and oversee the End-to-End Purchasing Process from Purchase Request (PR) to Goods Receiving Note (GRN).

Ensure supplier product designs, processes, and activities comply with company manufacturing guidelines, quality standards, and equipment requirements.
Requirements

BSc in Life Sciences, (Bio)Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.

4-6 years of experience in direct/indirect material procurement and sourcing in a relevant industry.

Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (preferably in a multinational organization).

Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across different levels of the organization.

Self-motivated with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong vendor relationships.

Strong proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
