General Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide variety of general building maintenance repairs and guest’s maintenance services. Ensure guest request are prioritized.
• Install light bulbs, doors, cabinets, panelling, Formica, carpet, and bulletin boards.
• Maintain Chillers, HVAC, Refrigeration and other electrical & mechanical equipment.
• Schedule and complete the “Preventative Maintenance Program”.
• Conduct inspection tours to ensure all general maintenance is in adherence to hotel standards and policy.
• Coordinate special projects as directed by the Engineering Management.
• Paint interior and exterior walls and cabinets; hang wallpaper and pictures; assemble furniture.
• Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned especially in guest rooms and public areas.
• Responsible for alerting the Engineering Management of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
• Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
• Follow established all company policies and those outlined in the Employee Guidebook.
• Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant rooms as directed by the Property Manager.
• Work within expense limits established.
• Perform welding as needed.
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas to proper condition.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls
• Do administrational jobs required to complete task like record keeping and other related reports for HACCP, Building & Water safety and etc.
• Install audio, video & lighting in the guest rooms, public areas and meeting rooms.
• To assist other technicians on the completion of their task / projects.
• Do appropriate trainings and guidance to technicians
• Contribute to the hotel’s profitability by ensuring the compliant to the hotel’s environmental policy and buildings environmental controls and energy conservation systems at all times.
• Any other duties as directed by the management

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Up to AED2,000.00 per month
