A skilled and detail-oriented General Technician is required to support the maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and systems within a luxury hospitality environment. The role ensures smooth and safe operations, preventing downtime and maintaining the high standards expected by guests and the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, staff, and management.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimize disruption.
- Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or systems as required.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment status.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards while performing all duties.
- Support preventative maintenance schedules to extend the life of equipment and prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with other technical and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and professional work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Technician or in a similar technical/maintenance role, preferably within luxury hospitality.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair technical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing maintenance tasks and handling tools and equipment safely.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
