Looking for an experienced candidate for the role of Transcriptionist who will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Lead and will be expected to manage tasks assigned and communicate with client if necessary. The Transcriptionist will play a key role in the timely completion of assigned tasks with accuracy and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Responsibilities & Duties Work with project lead and client to develop task goals Complete tasks assigned on or before deadlines with accuracy Take initiative to come up with ideas and ways to improve process efficiency Manage delivery expectations with project lead Collaborate with other team members Work from home between 11am and 7:30 pm (8-hour shift) and flexibility to work on weekends (at least Sunday evening) Minimum Hardware, Software & Connectivity Requirements for WFH Desktop or laptop with a minimum configuration of 8GB RAM, i5 8th Gen processor and Windows 10 Stable 100Mbps internet connection Power backup Qualifications Required Any degree with 60% marks and no backlogs (Schooling preferably from CBSE. Listening Skills: Ability to understand various accents, dialects, and unclear audio. Typing & Speed: Fast, accurate typing with minimal errors. Attention to Detail: Spotting errors, ensuring proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting. Language Proficiency: Strong command of English (or the working language), grammar, and spelling. Research Skills: Looking up unfamiliar terms, names, or jargon. Time Management: Meeting tight deadlines and handling multiple files. Confidentiality & Professionalism: Especially for legal and medical transcription. Editing & Proofreading: Self-checking transcripts for quality before submission. Adaptability: Handling different formats (verbatim, clean read, time-stamped, template-based, etc.). Software Knowledge: Familiarity with MS Word, Google Docs. Documentation Skills: Basic copy type and copy paste jobs. Training/Experience: Prior transcription experience is highly valued. Knowledge of industry-specific terminology (legal, medical, business, academic, etc.). Typing speed: often 60+ words per minute with high accuracy.
