Generator Operator

Core responsibilities:

• Start, stop, and control generators to maintain a continuous, dependable power supply.
• Continuously monitor equipment performance, fuel levels, and operational status to detect irregularities.
• Perform routine maintenance, including inspections, oil and filter changes, and minor repairs.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and respond to alarms or faults to prevent downtime.
• Maintain accurate logs of generator performance, maintenance activities, and any repairs.
• Follow strict safety protocols and environmental regulations to prevent hazards and minimize emissions.
• Communicate with other technicians, supervisors, or teams to ensure smooth operations and coordinate repairs or shutdowns.
• Manage and balance the distribution of power to prevent electrical circuits from being overloaded.

Skills:

• Proficiency in operating and maintaining specific types of generators.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical or mechanical issues.
• Experience with routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Strong knowledge of and ability to apply safety standards consistently.
• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting, standing, and working in various environmental conditions.

Education: DAE Electrical

Experience: 5 years in relevant field
