Job Title: Generator Operator
Key Responsibilities:
- Start, stop, and operate diesel or gas-powered generators.
- Monitor generator performance, fuel levels, oil pressure, voltage, frequency, and temperature readings.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Record operating data, maintenance activities, and fuel consumption in logs.
- Identify and report mechanical or electrical faults.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs when required.
- Ensure generators comply with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians for major repairs and servicing.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the generator room and equipment.
- Respond to power outages and emergency situations promptly.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of generator systems and electrical equipment.
- Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical manuals.
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Good record-keeping and communication skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends if needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (often required).
- Technical diploma/certificate in electrical or mechanical technology (preferred).
- Experience operating diesel generators or power generation equipment.
- Relevant safety certifications may be an advantage.
Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per hour
