Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Generator Supervisor to join our team at the Mangla Site (MRP Project). The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of relevant hands-on experience in generator refurbishment, testing, and installation works, with a strong technical background in managing large-scale hydro power generator components. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing generator maintenance, refurbishment activities, and ensuring compliance with project timelines, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead refurbishment of Power Generators and Rotor (capacity 155MW).
- Oversee stator core lamination, winding, and brazing (induction/gas) processes.
- Manage rotor shrinking and de-shrinking, rim lamination, poles de-installation & installation.
- Supervise dismantling and installation of generator-associated parts including:
- LBB, UBB, Excitor, Piping, Guides, Bearings, Shaft Coupling/Decoupling, Alignment & Runouts.
- Ensure proper execution of electrical testing procedures:
- PI Testing, Interturn Testing, and Core Testing.
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor work progress against project schedules and report updates to site management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, site protocols, and quality assurance procedures.
- Provide on-site technical guidance, troubleshooting, and mentoring of junior staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in generator supervision and refurbishment works at hydro power generation plants.
- Strong expertise in generator dismantling, assembly, testing, and alignment.
- Proven knowledge of generator safety procedures and quality standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and OEM guidelines.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under challenging site conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Note: salary negotiable based on experience.
