Genset Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and repair all diesel generators installed at the premises.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance (oil changes, coolant checks, filters, belts, etc.).
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in gensets.
• Monitor fuel levels, maintain consumption logs, and ensure availability of adequate stock.
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts and service requirements.
• Ensure gensets operate safely during power outages and test-run them regularly.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, breakdowns, and repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and restore genset operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new gensets if required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma/Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or relevant technical field.
• 2–4 years of proven experience as a Genset Technician.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service charts.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on-call during emergencies.
