Geomodeler

Location: Al Khafji, Saudi Arabia

Duration: 4 Months Contract

We are seeking an experienced Geomodeler to support a key subsurface project within the Khafji Joint Operations asset in Al Khafji. The role focuses on geological modelling and reservoir characterisation to support field development and optimisation activities within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain 3D static geological models
• Interpret and integrate seismic, well log, core, and petrophysical data
• Ensure geological data management and quality control standards are met
• Support reservoir characterisation in carbonate and clastic systems
• Contribute to evaluation of low permeability and tight gas reservoirs
• Assist in geophysical data interpretation and subsurface integration
• Support uncertainty analysis and model validation workflows
• Work closely with geoscience and reservoir engineering teams
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and presentations
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior staff where required

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or related field

• 15+ years of experience in geological / reservoir modelling

• International experience preferred, ideally within the Middle East

• Strong experience in carbonate and clastic reservoir systems

• Exposure to tight gas and low permeability reservoir development

• Proficiency in geological modelling software (e.g. Petrel or equivalent)

• Strong experience in geophysical data interpretation

• Proven ability in data management and quality control

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience delivering technical reports, maps, and presentations

• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience mentoring junior geoscientists is advantageous
