Job Description:

Geotechnical Engineer
Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is now hiring a Geotechnical Engineer with a desire to work on major infrastructure projects that change the fabric of our community. In this role you will get to p lan and design structures and facilities such as bridges, railroads, roads, airports, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, tunnels, power plants and other projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Design of geotechnical and geophysical site investigation

• Design of ground improvement and geotechnical hazards mitigation analysis.

• Production of geotechnical interpretative reports

• Production of geotechnical specifications.

• Evaluate and interpret geotechnical data using 2D and 3D geotechnical modelling software.

• Assist in procurement of site investigation contractors.

• Supervise geotechnical and geophysical site investigation activities.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution

• Minimum 3+ years experience in geotechnical design of infrastructure projects including bridges, railroads, roads, airports, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines and tunnels

• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required (PLAXIS, LPILE, GEO STUDIO, GEO 5 and Settle 3D, etc.).

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Ability to communicate in English

• UAE/GCC experience will be a plus
