The Opportunity

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for our Istanbul Office to strengthen our Geotechnical team.

In your role you’ll work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and share your technical knowledge to create innovative project solutions while you work under the supervision of the high-quality geotechnical engineers in İstanbul Office. You will have the chance to work in collaboration with UK and Europe offices, supporting small- and large-scale projects.

As a Geotechnical Engineer at Arup, you will:

• • 2D/3D analysis and design of foundations, analysis and design of deep excavations and shoring systems and application of different soil improvement methods,

  • Preparing reports through all design stages,

  • Preparing design drawings and construction specifications, and review construction submittals for compliance with contract requirements and design assumptions will also be part of your normal job function,

  • Supervision of soil investigations,

• • Experience with coding (Python and similar) and seismic evaluations will contribute to your success.

Does this role inspire you?

• • Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from reputable universities,

• • MSc in Geotechnical Engineering is required,

• • Up to 5 years of design experience in foundation design,

• • Working knowledge of standard office programs,

• • Knowledge and experience on common geotechnical analysis software programmes,

• • Experience on local and major international codes,

• • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken,

• • Self-motivated, eager to learn and take responsibility on challenging projects,

• • Effective communication and presentation skills,

• • Able to work as an effective team member, result-oriented,

• • No travel restrictions (national & international),

• • For male candidates no military service obligation.
