Geotechnical Engineer – Laboratory

India

To conduct geotechnical investigations, supervise laboratory testing of soil, rock, aggregate, and construction materials, analyze results, and provide technical recommendations to ensure the quality and stability of construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct soil, rock, aggregate, and concrete laboratory tests (SPT, Atterberg limits, compaction, CBR, triaxial, direct shear, permeability, etc.).
  • Supervise lab technicians and ensure accuracy in testing.
  • Analyze test data and prepare geotechnical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with IS/ASTM/BS standards and project specifications.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Coordinate with site teams for sampling and ground investigation.
  • Maintain proper documentation of test results and certifications.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (M.Tech preferred).
  • 3–7 years’ experience in geotechnical lab & field testing.
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software (PLAXIS, GeoStudio – preferred).

Good analytical, reporting, and team coordination skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
