Job Summary
The Geotechnical Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all geotechnical engineering activities within the organization. This role includes supervising site investigations, conducting geotechnical analysis, supporting foundation design, and ensuring projects are delivered according to technical standards, schedules, and budget requirements. The position also requires leading the geotechnical team and coordinating with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and oversee all geotechnical engineering activities including site investigations, soil studies, and geotechnical analysis.

Supervise field investigation programs such as drilling, sampling, in-situ testing, and monitoring activities.

Review and interpret soil and rock investigation data and laboratory test results to support engineering recommendations.

Provide technical guidance on foundation design, ground improvement methods, slope stability, and earthworks.

Prepare, review, and approve geotechnical reports, technical specifications, and engineering recommendations.

Ensure all geotechnical works comply with international standards, local regulations, and quality management systems.

Manage multiple geotechnical projects, ensuring delivery within approved schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

Lead and develop the geotechnical engineering team, providing technical mentoring and performance guidance.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.

Support proposal preparation, technical evaluations, and business development activities when required.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Minimum 10–15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, including site investigation and geotechnical analysis.

Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical design principles.

Proven experience in supervising field investigations and interpreting geotechnical laboratory test results.

Experience in preparing and reviewing detailed geotechnical reports and technical documentation.

Familiarity with international standards, laboratory testing procedures, and quality systems such as ISO/IEC 17025.

Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
