Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Pay: $31.00 per hour (48 guaranteed hours)

Location: Frostburg, Maryland

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in Frostburg, Maryland. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your dedication and attention to detail will help ensure patients receive safe, respectful, and effective daily care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs
• Support medication administration under supervision
• Provide care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as catheter care and wound dressing
• Assist with patient transfers and ensure safety at all times
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care
• Educate patients on health and safety practices

Qualifications:

• Valid GNA certification
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with patients of varying needs
• Knowledge of basic patient care procedures and safety protocols
• Physical ability to assist patients and stand for extended periods
