GI (galvanized iron/wire) supervisor oversees the daily production of galvanized wire, managing a team of operators to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, monitoring machine performance and resource utilization, implementing quality control measures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental regulations. The supervisor also handles reporting, cost control, and drives process improvements to enhance overall plant efficiency and productivity.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management: Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the GI wire production area. Team Leadership: Manage and lead the production team, including operators and other supervisors, to achieve production goals. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all galvanized wire products meet company and customer quality standards, often involving statistical quality control (SQC). Process Optimization: Implement and monitor process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and minimize downtime. Resource Management: Optimize the utilization of manpower, machinery, and other resources to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all workers adhere to safety guidelines and company regulations to prevent accidents and health hazards. Reporting: Prepare and maintain production reports, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), for management review. Maintenance Coordination: Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure smooth and continuous plant operations. Material Management: Check incoming raw materials and manage the consumption of various consumables and resources. Cost Control: Monitor and control production costs to ensure they stay within budget.
