Gift Shop Attendant & PBX Operator

The Gift Shop Attendant & PBX Operator provides exceptional guest service while managing retail sales in the hotel gift shop and handling all incoming and outgoing communications for the hotel. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

$15 hourly

Gift Shop Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with retail purchases
• Operate the POS system and process transactions accurately
• Maintain inventory, restock merchandise, and monitor product levels
• Ensure the gift shop is clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Provide product recommendations and hotel information to guests
• Support sales goals through upselling and friendly guest engagement

PBX/Phone Operator Duties

• Answer and route all incoming calls promptly and professionally
• Transfer calls to appropriate departments and team members
• Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and hotel information
• Take and deliver messages accurately
• Maintain communication logs and follow hotel procedures
• Assist with emergency procedures and communication protocols as needed

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Basic computer and phone system knowledge
• Cash handling or retail experience preferred
• Hospitality or customer service experience a plus
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light merchandise
• Fast-paced hotel environment
• Combination of retail, front desk, and communications support
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
