The GIS Design Auditor is responsible for reviewing, validating, and ensuring the quality and compliance of fibre optic network designs across various GIS platforms, including IQGeo, QGIS, ArcGIS, GE Smallworld, and others. This role focuses on auditing both High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) deliverables for Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) environments. The auditor will collaborate with design, fielding, and QA teams to uphold standards, identify defects, and drive continuous improvement in design accuracy and buildability.
Responsibilities:
Audit HLD and LLD designs for FTTH, middle mile, and last mile networks.
Validate PON hierarchy, splitter placement, feeder/distribution routing, and ONT/OLT mapping.
Review splicing schematics, port assignments, and power loss budgets for compliance.
Ensure geo-referencing accuracy, completeness of duct/chamber/pole data, and adherence to survey briefs.
Flag design defects (e.g., blocked ducts, missing chambers, access issues) and recommend corrective actions.
Apply QA checklists; record pass/fail status with defect codes and remediation notes.
Verify BOM components (cables, closures, trays, splitters) and construction notes.
Support as-built updates and change request validations based on field feedback.
