GL Accountant

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing general ledger functions, preparing journal entries, ensuring account reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires strong analytical ability, proficiency in SAP, and a solid understanding of accounting principles in a trading or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ø Prepare and analyze monthly journal entries for recurring expenses, accruals, deferrals, and allocations.

Ø Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

Ø Manage and track fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.

Ø Maintain and prepare provision files in line with company policies.

Ø Manage and reconcile inter-divisional accounts.

Ø Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of all accounts.

Ø Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

Ø Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing required documentation and reports.
