Job Description: Glass & Aluminium Technician (UAE – Installations)

Position Summary

The Glass and Aluminium Technician is responsible for the fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of aluminium and glass systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects in the UAE. This role requires hands-on technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install aluminium doors, windows, partitions, curtain walls, skylights, and façades.
• Install various types of glass, including tempered, laminated, double-glazed, and mirror glass.
• Perform on-site measurements, cutting, fitting, and sealing of glass and aluminium systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication sheets, and installation plans.
• Handle and operate tools, machinery, and equipment (cutting machines, drilling machines, grinders, glazing tools, etc.).
• Perform repair and maintenance of installed systems: alignment, replacement, sealing, and hardware adjustments.
• Ensure high-quality finishing, proper alignment, waterproofing, and safety compliance.
• Work with silicone, rubber gaskets, screws, brackets, hinges, locks, and related hardware.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and project teams to complete installation tasks on time.
• Follow UAE safety standards, site rules, and company procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Glass and Aluminium Technician/Installer (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of aluminium profiles (e.g., Gulf Extrusion, Emirates Extrusion, Alumil, etc.).
• Ability to measure, cut, assemble, and install aluminium and glass with accuracy.
• Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors in UAE weather conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of site safety procedures.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or technical certification preferred.
• 2 years of experience in glass and aluminium fabrication and installation.
• GCC/UAE experience is an advantage.
