Glass Blower Technician

  • Operate furnaces, torches, and glass working stations to heat, blow, shape, and form glass products.
  • Read and interpret drawings, templates, or sample pieces to produce accurate work.
  • Cut, weld, shape, bend, polish, and assemble glass components.
  • Inspect glass materials for flaws and ensure production meets quality standards.
  • Use molds, hand tools, and forming equipment to achieve required shapes and specifications.
  • Maintain proper temperature control to avoid cracking or deformation of glass.
  • Repair broken or damaged glass items when required.
  • Follow safety guidelines when working with heat sources, open flames, and molten glass.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the glass blowing workstation.
  • Record daily production activities and report material usage to Supervisor.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Glass Blower / Glass Forming Technician.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Glass blowing techniques (free blowing, mold blowing, torch work)
  • Heating furnaces, glass lathes, annealing ovens
  • Cutting, welding, polishing, and finishing glass
  • Ability to read technical drawings, production specifications, or blueprints.
  • Good hand-eye coordination, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety, especially around high heat and flames.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Experience:

  • Glass Forming Technician/Glass Blower: 5 years (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • QID (Preferred)
