- Operate furnaces, torches, and glass working stations to heat, blow, shape, and form glass products.
- Read and interpret drawings, templates, or sample pieces to produce accurate work.
- Cut, weld, shape, bend, polish, and assemble glass components.
- Inspect glass materials for flaws and ensure production meets quality standards.
- Use molds, hand tools, and forming equipment to achieve required shapes and specifications.
- Maintain proper temperature control to avoid cracking or deformation of glass.
- Repair broken or damaged glass items when required.
- Follow safety guidelines when working with heat sources, open flames, and molten glass.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the glass blowing workstation.
- Record daily production activities and report material usage to Supervisor.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Glass Blower / Glass Forming Technician.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Glass blowing techniques (free blowing, mold blowing, torch work)
- Heating furnaces, glass lathes, annealing ovens
- Cutting, welding, polishing, and finishing glass
- Ability to read technical drawings, production specifications, or blueprints.
- Good hand-eye coordination, precision, and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, especially around high heat and flames.
