Role: Global Accounting Team Lead
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
General and Technical Accounting:
- Responsible for specific balance sheet account reconciliations that require technical GAAP knowledge and/or are more susceptible to financial statement misstatement.
- Reviewing the design of new processes, coordinating with Senior & Staff Accountants to ensure all new processes meet global accounting requirements.
- Capable of researching relevant FASB Accounting guidance or local statutory guidance.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations prepared by corporate accounting team
- Authorized to approve / reject journal entries in Company’s ERP system
Financial Reporting:
- Lead and / or assist with leading department-wide meetings, Team meetings, month end close meetings
- Point of contact for unaddressed questions or concerns raised by Staff Accountant
- Leads testing of new processes, assists with review of integration, coding, mapping of elements to the Company’s general ledger
Procurement:
- Authorized to approve new vendors in Company’s ERP system
- Reviewing vendor contracts
- Point of contact for unaddressed questions or concerns raised by Staff Accountants
Compliance, Financial Systems, & Team Projects:
- Serve as a liaison for the department, help implement and lead new team members to follow ePS Finance policies.
- Oversea India statutory compliances including TDS, GST, Audit.
- Leads testing of new processes, assists with review of integration, coding, mapping of elements to the GL
- Preparer of specific audit related requests (eg. rollforwards, reconciliations or analytics)
- Responsible for proposing changes to the Company’s chart of accounts
Education India: Chartered Accountant
Corporate Experience: At least six - eight years of experience in corporate accounting and finance, at least three to years of supervisory experience in corporate accounting or auditing.
