Key Responsibilities:

  • Factory Floor Integration:

Architect and deploy batch real-time data pipelines

Design secure, scalable serverless data platforms for structured and unstructured data

Develop Infrastructure-as-Code

Manage GCP environments, IAM policies, VPC networking, cost controls, and hybrid connectivity

Build AI/ML workflows

Integrate semantic search frameworks with vector databases

Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines to enhance LLM outputs

Lead enterprise initiatives as a technical advisor, collaborating with stakeholders across engineering, security, legal, and business units

Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices in data governance, observability, and AI infrastructure

Connect, configure, and manage data collection from factory monitoring systems

Deploy and manage edge devices or industrial gateways for real-time data acquisition and preprocessing

IT/OT Convergence:

  • Work with IT teams to integrate shop floor data
  • Design and implement secure communication between operational technology (OT) and IT infrastructure.
  • Digital Twin Enablement:

    • Enable real-time data feeds to digital twin platforms by mapping physical assets to their digital counterparts.
    • Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure data fidelity and synchronicity.
  • Data Pipeline Development:

    • Develop and maintain data pipelines for high-frequency streaming data using platforms such as Kafka, Azure IoT Hub, AWS IoT Core, or similar.
    • Ensure data integrity, latency optimization, and historical traceability.
  • Cybersecurity and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols for data exchange across OT and IT domains.
    • Support compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443, NIST).
  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Analyze system performance and recommend connectivity or architecture improvements.
    • Contribute to the broader digital transformation roadmap for the manufacturing enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years in industrial automation, controls, or manufacturing IT/OT systems integration.
