Overview

With over 25 years of establishment, WSP's Global Capability Centre (GCC) has become a strategic asset. We are seeking a Global Advisory Lead to shape and drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and people engagement of WSP's Global Advisory function across the GCC. This is a Director level position, requiring a seasoned leader with 15+ years of experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 or leading management consultancy environment.

In this full-time role, the Global Advisory Lead will spearhead the development and integration of over 500 Advisory professionals across multiple GCC locations - including India, Colombia, Mexico, Manila, and Romania - ensuring alignment, cohesion, and high-performance delivery across WSP's global Advisory network. The role partners with the Global Director, Advisory and regional leadership to establish and implement the optimal GCC Advisory operating model, balancing centralized and regional capabilities, and drive measurable business outcomes. The incumbent will design a strong employee value proposition, foster engagement, and develop recognition and reward mechanisms to attract and retain world-class talent.

The mission is to strengthen the GCC's role as a global enabler of Advisory excellence, ensure sustainable growth, and enhance WSP's competitive advantage through integration, innovation, and people empowerment. This includes building Centres of Excellence (e.g., Economics Advisory, Digital Advisory), driving digital enablement initiatives, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and collaboration across regions.

Key responsibilities and expectations include driving strategic alignment, transformation and capability development, growth enablement, data-driven strategy and performance, and enhancing brand and visibility of the GCC Advisory network.

The person will be relocated in India and will be expected to visit GCC offices, support teams, and lead development initiatives across regions.

  • Lead the existing 500+ Advisory team across multiple GCC sites (India, Colombia, Mexico, Manila, and Romania), ensuring alignment, capability development, and consistent delivery standards.
  • Drive Advisory team growth across the GCC by building trusted relationships with Global and Regional Advisory Leaders, ensuring all regions actively build integrated and high-performing teams.
  • Develop and implement the GCC Global Advisory operating model in partnership with the Global Director, defining the balance between centralized and decentralized teams, and tracking progress against commercial KPIs.
  • Involvement in executive-level advisory assignments on growth, market expansion, and transformation - contributing strategic insights to senior leadership and client-facing initiatives.
  • Engage with other GCC functional leaders to influence and align critical cross-functional strategic decisions and ensure organizational coherence.
  • Design and implement a new Employee Value Proposition (EVP) in collaboration with the GCC HR Lead, including recognition, reward mechanisms, and engagement strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and maintain a global network of ambassadors to advocate for GCC initiatives, share best practices, and strengthen collaboration across WSP regions.
  • Create strategic campaigns that tell GCC success stories and strengthen emotional connection internally and externally, raising the visibility and reputation of the Global Advisory GCC.
  • Prepare leadership storylines, reports, and communication content to support global alignment, performance tracking, and executive decision-making.
  • Drive the creation of Centres of Excellence within the GCC (e.g., Economics Advisory, Digital Advisory), setting up operating platforms that promote innovation and best practices.
  • Conduct benchmarking assessments on how Big 4 and other consultancies utilize GCC models, leveraging insights to enhance WSP's competitive positioning.
  • Actively identify opportunities for digital enablement across the Advisory function (e.g., proposal automation, digital delivery models) to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Promote continuous improvement and collaboration between regions and GCC teams through structured engagement, team interactions, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with Global MarComs to deliver impactful marketing and communication initiatives that elevate the GCC Advisory brand globally.
  • Be sufficiently mobile to visit GCC offices, actively support teams, conduct engagement sessions, and lead team building and development initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Relevant academic qualification, including a Postgraduate or Honours Degree, Bachelor of Science, MBA, or equivalent Diploma in Business, Management, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in business strategy, operations, consulting, or leadership roles within a professional services or advisory environment.
  • Proven record of delivering strategic and operational outcomes across complex, multi-region organizations.
  • Experience in leading large, distributed teams, ideally across global capability centres or shared service environments.
  • Background with Big 4 or top-tier management consultancy is highly desirable, with demonstrated exposure to transformation, benchmarking, or advisory excellence.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with ability to manage budgets, track KPIs, and drive performance outcomes.
