Job Description
This role can be based in New York City, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale.
At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) Integrated Marketing Team is looking for a skilled marketer to lead the strategy and operations for and oversee the execution of LMS’ content marketing engine — the business’s scaled distribution arm and “megaphone.” This individual will lead a team that looks after all owned content channels, and will orchestrate the omnichannel distribution of thought leadership, product/solutions messaging and campaign narratives that help shift perceptions of LinkedIn among its target audience of B2B marketers and B2B marketing decision makers. This role includes strategic ownership of LMS’ flagship page on LinkedIn, which this individual and their team will use to demonstrate best-in-class examples of LinkedIn-first B2B marketing.
This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring strategic source content — developed by our Product Marketing, Marketplace Innovation, Solutions Marketing and B2B Institute teams, among other x-functional IP creators — is transformed into impactful, customer-facing assets across multiple formats and channels.
This Global Head of Content Marketing will also lead the development and ongoing evolution of LMS’s content operating model, which guides how content flows from strategy through production to distribution.
The ideal candidate is a strong business and content strategist, thinker, writer, an avid consumer of media and a team player who is confident in their craft. A sense of humor and a desire to have fun are also essential, of course!
Responsibilities:
-
Content Strategy & Planning
-
Own and evolve LMS’s global content marketing strategy with a focus on omnichannel distribution and LinkedIn-first execution.
-
Define editorial direction for owned channels and develop integrated content campaigns around key business moments (e.g. annual budget cycles, product launches).
-
Channel Ownership & Execution
-
Oversee a team that manages all owned content channels, including the LinkedIn for Marketing Blog, the LinkedIn for Marketing Page, and the LinkedIn Ads microsite.
-
Drive consistency, relevance, and performance across content formats and channels — using long-form content, short-form content, video content, webinars, and newsletters.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-
Partner with teams like The B2B Institute and Marketplace Innovation to adapt and scale thought leadership content.
-
Partner with teams like Product Marketing and Solutions marketing to adapt and scale product and solutions-focused content.
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with Web Marketing, Corporate Communications, and other stakeholders to surface and amplify thought leadership stories across owned, earned, and paid channels.
-
Collaborate with teams across the LMS business including Customer Marketing, Ecosystem Marketing, Growth Marketing, Web Marketing, Corporate Communications, Sales and Legal to collate the right stories about LinkedIn’s members, customers and products.
-
Act as the go-to expert in scaled communications across LMS, aligning messaging and timing across teams.
-
Operational Leadership
-
Lead development and governance of LMS’s content operating model and editorial calendar, in partnership with Marketplace Innovation.
-
Manage global content marketing budget and select a global team of agency partners that provide copy, social media management and reporting support to the team internally.
-
Recommend and oversee the implementation of workflows, intake processes, approvals, and team alignment to enable content reuse, velocity, and clarity.
-
Industry Leadership
-
Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry influencers, customers, and external partners to extend the reach of LinkedIn’s content.
-
Team Management & Development
-
Manage and mentor a high-performing team of content, web and social media marketers.
-
Foster a culture of editorial excellence, creative experimentation, and strategic alignment.
-
Measurement & Optimization
-
Define content marketing KPIs and measure content performance across visibility, engagement, and pipeline contribution.
-
Use performance insights to continuously optimize content formats, delivery strategies, and channel mix.

-
BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
-
10+ years of experience in content marketing, social media marketing, brand editorial, or digital marketing roles, with a proven track record in a B2B ads or SaaS environment
