Global Perspective Teacher for IGCSE Board

Board: Cambridge IGCSE / Cambridge Lower Secondary

Job Purpose

To deliver the Cambridge Global Perspectives curriculum for Grades 6, 7, and 8 by developing students’ critical thinking, research, collaboration, communication, and global awareness skills. The teacher supports learners in understanding local, national, and global issues from multiple perspectives and encourages responsible, reflective citizenship.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging Global Perspectives lessons aligned with the Cambridge Lower Secondary / IGCSE Global Perspectives framework.
  • Guide students in exploring global issues such as sustainability, culture, governance, technology, health, and social justice.
  • Develop students’ skills in research, analysis, evaluation, reflection, collaboration, and communication.
  • Facilitate inquiry-based learning, discussions, debates, presentations, and project work.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Assessment & Feedback

  • Design and assess individual and group projects in line with Cambridge assessment objectives.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student progress and skill development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
  • Prepare students for internal assessments and progression within the Global Perspectives pathway.

Curriculum & Planning

  • Collaborate with subject coordinators and colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity across Grades 6–8.
  • Integrate cross-curricular links with subjects such as English, Social Studies, Science, and ICT.
  • Incorporate real-world case studies, current events, and global examples into lessons.

Student Development

  • Encourage ethical thinking, open-mindedness, and respect for diverse viewpoints.
  • Support students in developing confidence in speaking, teamwork, and independent learning.
  • Promote global citizenship and responsible use of information and digital resources.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and Cambridge training when required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
  • Contribute to school events, exhibitions, and project showcases related to Global Perspectives.
  • Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and professional conduct at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Humanities, International Studies, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience teaching Global Perspectives, Social Studies, or inquiry-based subjects at middle school level is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹43,000.00 per month
