Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Global Procurement Manager to manage and execute procurement activities across both direct and indirect categories. This role will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with domestic and international vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing, on-time delivery, and adherence to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain operations, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute procurement activities for direct and indirect product categories in alignment with company goals.
- Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage domestic and international vendors relationships to drive cost savings, improve quality, and ensure timely delivery.
- Lead cost-saving and sourcing projects for the company’s factory in China, including direct negotiations with local vendors.
- Identify, assess, and onboard new vendors and manufacturers both domestically and internationally, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively troubleshoot procurement and supply chain issues, escalating critical matters when necessary.
- Analyze and prioritize global procurement requests, monitor progress, and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Participate in new product development initiatives and manage procurement-related aspects of ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement strategies align with overall business objectives.
- Track, analyze, and report cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes and present findings and progress to management.
- Lead cost reduction meetings with other departments to identify new initiatives and monitor ongoing projects.
- Ensure samples are delivered to Engineering and Marketing to evaluate new potential cost reductions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Vendor Scorecard to evaluate vendor performance and support continuous improvement.
- Support the Logistics function by coordinating import deliveries, including document preparation and communication with origin suppliers and freight forwarders.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in global procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and provide timely updates.
- Proven analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to research and engage with domestic and international supplier databases to identify and qualify new vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with MRP/ERP systems (GP Dynamics or similar platforms).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s in supply chain management or Logistics.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in global procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 DOE.
