The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies to support the company’s HVAC, Appliance, and Plumbing product categories. This position is responsible for sourcing materials domestically and globally, identification of new suppliers, negotiating supplier contracts, and maintaining supplier partnerships to eliminate supply chain disruptions. Working within the centralized Supply Chain team, the Global Sourcing Manager collaborates with cross-functional partners including operations, engineering, finance, and logistics to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality supply base while supporting new product development and long-term business growth.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned with company goals for HVAC components, OEM parts, appliance, and plumbing products.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers to support cost, quality, delivery, and innovation objectives.
- Lead supplier negotiations including pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term agreements.
- Analyze market trends, supply risks, and commodity cost drivers to inform sourcing decisions and mitigation strategies.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, value engineering, and total cost of ownership analysis.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while managing supplier performance through scorecards and regular business reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to support new product introductions and sourcing of new components.
- Partner with quality, operations, and logistics teams to ensure suppliers meet required standards for quality, compliance, and delivery performance.
- Partner with Global Compliance and Transportation/Logistics teams to ensure accurate and cost-effective freight terms, HTS Codes, Country of Origin Data is executed.
- Monitor global supply markets and develop contingency plans to minimize supply disruptions.
- Lead RFQ/RFP processes and evaluate supplier proposals to select the most competitive and reliable sources.
- Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Support inventory optimization and supply continuity through collaboration with planning and procurement teams.
- Maintain accurate supplier and contract data within supply chain systems and sourcing documentation.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis on sourcing initiatives, cost savings, supplier performance, and supply chain risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field required.
- 7–10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in HVAC, manufacturing, OEM parts, or plumbing industries.
- Experience managing global suppliers and international sourcing initiatives.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Demonstrated experience driving cost savings and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Knowledge of supply chain systems, ERP platforms, and sourcing analytics tools.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, importing/ exporting, FTA, HTS codes, duties and tariffs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with supplier quality standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM preferred but not required.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, 50%+
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position may require over 40 hours per week and includes regular physical activity such as:
- Primarily office-based role with standard working hours; occasional extended hours may be required based on business needs.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods and participate in virtual meetings.
- Occasional travel to supplier facilities, manufacturing plants, and company locations may be required.
- May require walking through manufacturing or warehouse environments and following required safety protocols.
- Ability to lift or move items up to 15 pounds occasionally.
