Job Title: General Manager
Position Summary
The General Manager will lead all functional areas of the business — including operations, manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, finance, and team development — with full P&L responsibility.
This position is ideal for a results-oriented leader who thrives in a mid-sized, precision manufacturing environment, enjoys being actively engaged on the production floor, and can drive both strategic growth and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Financial Leadership
- Lead overall business performance with P&L ownership and clear financial accountability.
- Develop and execute strategic and operational plans to achieve revenue, cost, and growth objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost management initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and capacity expansion.
- Prepare regular business and performance reports for ownership or investors.
Operations & Production Management
- Direct all manufacturing activities, including precision grinding, turning, honing, lapping, and assembly.
- Ensure production targets for quality, cost, and delivery (OTD) are consistently met.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement programs to enhance efficiency and throughput.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to optimize planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Foster collaboration between production, engineering, and quality teams to maintain smooth operations.
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP aerospace quality standards.
- Lead audits, corrective actions, and preventive improvement processes.
- Promote a culture of precision, accountability, and first-pass yield.
- Maintain compliance with FAA, ITAR, and customer-specific requirements.
Engineering & Process Development
- Oversee process engineering, NPI (New Product Introduction), and design-for-manufacture initiatives.
- Support product development and process validation activities.
- Ensure robust process control, tooling, and inspection systems are in place to maintain aerospace tolerances.
Supply Chain & Customer Management
- Manage purchasing, supplier quality, and logistics to ensure material availability and cost control.
- Strengthen relationships with Tier 1 and OEM aerospace customers.
- Ensure strong customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and technical support.
- Partner with sales and customer service on quoting, pricing, and contract performance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Build and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional leadership team.
- Set clear goals, metrics, and accountability for department leaders.
- Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee staffing, training, and workforce development to support long-term growth.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related field.
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in Aerospace manufacturing.
- 5+ years of Senior Leadership or General Management experience with P&L accountability.
- Strong technical understanding of aerospace bearing or precision component manufacturing.
- Proven track record with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and continuous improvement programs.
- Hands-on management style and strong operational discipline.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Preferred:
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
- Experience with OEM or Tier 1 aerospace customers (e.g., Boeing, Collins, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell).
- Familiarity with ITAR, DFARS, and defense manufacturing compliance.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.

Pay: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
