As part of our growth strategy across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, we are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager for our Key Accounts Department to strengthen and expand our regional partnerships.
Position Overview:
The
General Manager – Key Accounts Department (MENA Region)
will be responsible for managing, developing, and expanding strategic relationships with major clients and partners. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong leadership, and proven experience in managing key accounts in the heavy machinery and construction equipment sector—preferably with previous experience in
Caterpillar or similar multinational companies
.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales and market growth objectives across the MENA region.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and government entities.

Lead and mentor the Key Accounts team to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company goals.

Identify business opportunities, market trends, and competitive activities to support decision-making and regional strategy.

Collaborate with product, marketing, and service teams to ensure client satisfaction and after-sales excellence.

Negotiate high-value contracts and manage complex account relationships to maximize revenue and profitability.

Represent SANY at regional and international exhibitions, forums, and client meetings.

Monitor and report on key account performance, budgets, and forecasts.

Drive customer-centric initiatives and ensure top-tier service quality standards.

Coordinate closely with the Head Office in China and regional offices for business alignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).

Minimum
12–15 years of experience
in heavy machinery, construction equipment, or industrial sales sectors.

Previous experience with Caterpillar
or other leading global equipment brands is
mandatory
.

Proven track record of managing key accounts across multiple countries in the MENA region.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic and/or Chinese is a plus).

Ability to travel frequently within the MENA region.
