Position Overview

The GNM/ANM Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services to students and staff, managing the school infirmary, responding to medical needs, maintaining health records, and promoting overall well-being within the institution.

Key Responsibilities1. Health Care & First Aid

  • Provide immediate first aid and basic medical care to students and staff.
  • Attend to injuries, illnesses, and emergency cases promptly.
  • Assess and manage minor ailments and escalate cases requiring advanced medical intervention.

2. Infirmary Management

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and fully equipped medical room.
  • Monitor and replenish medical supplies, equipment, and medicines.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

3. Health Monitoring & Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate health records of students, including medical histories and immunization details.
  • Track chronic illnesses, allergies, and medical conditions.
  • Prepare periodic health reports for management.

4. Emergency Preparedness

  • Handle emergency situations confidently and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with parents/guardians during medical emergencies.
  • Arrange ambulance services when required.

5. Health Awareness & Education

  • Conduct health awareness programs, hygiene sessions, and wellness workshops for students.
  • Assist in planning and implementing school health policies.

6. Coordination

  • Liaise with parents, teachers, and school authorities regarding students’ health needs.
  • Support during school events, camps, and outdoor activities to ensure medical safety.

Required Qualifications

  • GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) or ANM (Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery) certified.
  • Registration with the appropriate nursing council.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a school, clinic, or pediatric setting.

  • Good record-keeping and organizational abilities.

Work Environment

  • School/College campus–based role.
  • Requires availability during school hours and at special events when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
