1. Direct Patient Care
- Vitals Monitoring: Regularly checking and recording temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Medication Administration: Giving oral medicines, injections (IM, IV, SC), and managing IV infusions as prescribed by doctors.
- Wound Management: Cleaning, dressing, and bandaging wounds or surgical sites using sterile techniques.
- Patient Hygiene: Assisting patients with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and feeding, especially for those who are bedbound.
2. Clinical Assistance
- Assisting Doctors: Helping during physical examinations, minor surgeries, or emergency procedures.
- Diagnostic Support: Collecting samples (blood, urine, stool) and preparing patients for X-rays or scans.
- Equipment Handling: Operating and monitoring medical devices like ECG machines, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
3. Midwifery & Maternal Care
- Prenatal & Postnatal Care: Providing health check-ups and education to pregnant women and new mothers.
- Labor Support: Assisting in the delivery room and providing immediate care to newborns (immunization, hygiene, and monitoring).
4. Ward & Data Management
- Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed "Nursing Notes" and updating Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Inventory Management: Tracking medical supplies, medicines, and surgical tools in the ward to ensure nothing runs out.
