About the Role: Lone Star Golf Cars is hiring a driven, customer-focused Sales Representative to join our retail team. We’re one of the fastest-growing golf cart dealership groups in the country, and we’re looking for someone who can work leads fast, create their own opportunities, and deliver a great buying experience from first contact to delivery.

What You’ll Do (Position Overview) As a Sales Rep, you’ll handle a mix of company-provided leads and self-generated prospects. You’ll guide customers through the full sales process—helping them choose the right cart, build accessories/customizations, understand financing options, complete paperwork, and coordinate delivery.This role blends:
- In-person showroom sales
- Phone/text/email follow-up
- Social/classified selling (Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist, etc.)
- Product demos and walkarounds
- Basic marketing support through strong product photos and listings
Key Responsibilities Lead Management & Follow-Up
- Respond quickly and professionally to inbound leads generated by company marketing.
- Track every customer interaction in the CRM with accurate notes and next steps.
- Follow up consistently to convert inquiries into appointments and closed deals.
Self-Generated Business & Listings
- Proactively generate new leads through Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, Craigslist, and local community groups/forums.
- Create and manage product listings that drive inbound interest and increase showroom traffic.
- Take high-quality photos and short videos of carts for listings and marketing purposes (lighting, angles, clean presentation).
Sales Execution
- Conduct in-showroom walkarounds and product presentations that highlight features, performance, and customization options.
- Guide customers through the full buying process: needs discovery, selection, accessories, financing support, documentation, and post-sale communication.
- Coordinate with managers and store teams to ensure a smooth handoff to delivery.
Upsells / Backend Products
- Increase profitability by offering and explaining backend products, including:
- Extended warranties / service plans
- Accessory packages and upgrades (light kits, enclosures, lift kits, wheels/tires, sound systems, etc.)
- Delivery add-ons and protection products (where applicable)
- Recommend the right products based on customer needs and confidently close add-on sales.
Showroom & Merchandising
- Maintain a clean, organized showroom and well-presented inventory.
- Help ensure units are staged properly and ready for customers to view and test.
This Role Is Not for Everyone (Read This)
- You must be comfortable working weekends and retail hours.
- You must be high-energy, optimistic, and coachable—we want solution-minded people who bring great vibes to the team.
- You must be disciplined with follow-up—your success will come from activity, consistency, and execution.
- If you don’t like calling/texting customers, using a CRM, upselling add-ons, or staying organized, this won’t be a fit.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of sales experience (golf carts, automotive, powersports, RV, marine, or similar).
- Proven ability to generate and close your own leads (especially via social platforms and classifieds).
- Comfortable upselling accessories, protection products, and warranties/service plans.
- Strong communication, organization, and closing skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Tech-savvy: able to use CRM software, texting/email, and create listings.
- Able to take clear, high-quality product photos for online listings and marketing.
- Dependable, motivated, and competitive with personal performance goals.
