Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Duties

• Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for healthy turf and landscape growth
• Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, aerating, and fertilizing greens, fairways, and roughs
• Use hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and lawn mowers to carry out routine maintenance tasks
• Conduct lawn care activities like overseeding, topdressing, and pest control to promote lush, healthy turf
• Assist with gardening and horticulture practices by planting new vegetation, pruning shrubs, and managing flower beds
• Maintain overall course appearance through landscaping efforts that enhance visual appeal and playability
• Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components or landscape equipment as needed to ensure smooth operation

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or turf management is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance techniques, and lawn care practices is highly desirable
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in outdoor environments
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to course upkeep and aesthetics
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Basic understanding of horticulture principles or gardening practices is a plus
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward maintaining high standards of course quality

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
