Google Business Profile Intern

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Google Business Profile (GBP) Intern to support our team in managing and optimizing local listings across multiple locations. This internship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn about local SEO, online visibility, and digital presence optimization. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and willing to gain hands-on experience in GBP management and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in setting up and managing Google Business Profiles for multiple locations or brands.
• Support optimization of GBP listings with accurate information, including hours, photos, services, and descriptions.
• Help monitor and draft responses to customer reviews under team guidance.
• Contribute to posting regular updates, offers, and product/service highlights on GBP listings.
• Track and organize insights such as searches, views, clicks, and direction requests.
• Collaborate with SEO and content teams to ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across local citations.
• Learn to identify and report duplicate or incorrect listings using GBP and third-party tools.
• Assist in implementing strategies to improve local search rankings and visibility in Google Maps.
• Prepare simple reports on performance using Google Business Profile Insights and Google Analytics.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and updates in local SEO and Google’s local search algorithms.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Interest in local SEO, Google Maps, and online brand visibility.
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Preferred Skills (a plus, not required):

• Familiarity with Google Business Profile, Google Analytics, or SEO tools.
• Experience using third-party tools (e.g., BrightLocal, Moz Local, Yext).
• Basic understanding of website CMS platforms or HTML.
• Interest in copywriting for online platforms.
