We are a regulated for-profit UK social housing provider, operating under strict Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), governance, financial, consumer, and statutory compliance frameworks.

We are seeking a high-calibre, fully qualified lawyer to provide governance, regulatory, legal, and financial assurance support across the organisation, ensuring zero governance gaps and continuous audit and lender readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with:
  • RSH Governance & Financial Viability Standard

  • Building Safety Act 2022 & Fire Safety Act 2021 (governance evidence)
  • Prepare board papers, approvals, and governance evidence

  • Review and draft:
  • Inter-company and shareholder loan agreements
  • Financial structuring notes
  • Banking facility legal documentation
  • Prepare Bank Assurance Packs and lender due-diligence responses
  • Review banking and inter-company agreements for governance, control, and compliance risk
  • Maintain consumer standards and TSM governance evidence
  • Attend one governance/compliance CPD seminar per month and maintain logs
  • Liaise with board members, auditors, banks, lawyers, and consultants

Essential Requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer (minimum LLB; Commonwealth-recognised law schools preferred)
  • Strong academic background from a reputed university
  • Experience or strong capability in regulated, audit-driven environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation discipline

Note: All drafting (policies, board papers, regulatory and lender evidence) must be produced to a native-level professional English standard.
Candidates without A1 English proficiency will not be considered.

Why Join Us

  • High-trust, high-impact governance role
  • Direct exposure to regulators, banks, auditors, and boards
  • Clear separation from statutory filing risk
  • Long-term stability in a regulated UK housing environment
