Job Scope:

The Government Affairs Coordinator is responsible for supporting all government-related activities, including obtaining, renewing, and maintaining company licenses, permits, and approvals. The role ensures compliance with Saudi regulations and facilitates effective communication between the company and government entities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Government Relations & Compliance

  • Assist in obtaining and renewing licenses, permits, and approvals from relevant authorities such as the Ministry of Commerce, Municipality, Civil Defense, MOT, and others.
  • Prepare, submit, and follow up on all government documentation and applications to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Saudi laws and regulatory requirements affecting company operations.
  • Support the company in ensuring compliance with local labor laws, GOSI, Muqeem, and Chamber of Commerce procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of company documents, including commercial registration, chamber certificates, and other official papers.

Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between the company and government bodies, ensuring effective, respectful, and professional communication.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to collect necessary information and documentation required for government transactions.
  • Track and follow up on application progress and ensure timely renewals of all licenses and permits.
  • Maintain strong relationships with government offices and representatives to facilitate smooth operations.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain a database of permits, renewal schedules, and official correspondence.
  • Ensure all government-related documents are properly archived and easily retrievable.
  • Prepare periodic reports on government relations activities, status of applications, and renewal schedules.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR & Government Relations Department as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in government relations or administrative support (preferably in Saudi Arabia).
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
  • Saudi National (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi labor laws and government procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
