This is an open, competitive, Career Service opportunity. Location: The position is available in the Southeast Region (Fort Lauderdale). Positions will be housed within the Region based on physical location of selected candidates. Applicants interested in working in areas outside of the Southeast Region will need to apply for positions advertised for those specific areas on the People First System.
Annual Salary: $40,320.81 (Internal salaries determined by DCF salary policy)
QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify for the position, an applicant must have an associate’s degree, or 60 semester or 90 quarter hours of college, or equivalent professional experience where the major responsibility was conducting interviews, recruiting, conducting trainings, or providing customer service (this does not include work as a sales clerk, cashier, or receptionist) on a full time basis. This experience can substitute on a year for year basis for the required education.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Work performed includes assisting in the development, implementation, and monitoring of agency programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and departmental regulations. The role involves conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports to support management decision-making and program improvements. Consultants may review case or operational records, provide technical assistance to staff and supervisors, and participate in workgroups or task forces to advance policy and operational initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, monitoring workforce trends, and recommending strategies to improve employee retention and engagement. The position may also assist with developing and implementing employee wellness initiatives, promoting a supportive workplace culture, and contributing to corrective action plans or performance improvement efforts.
Finally, consultants are expected to monitor and evaluate program and workforce activities to ensure objectives are met, while effectively communicating findings and recommendations to management through written reports, briefings, and presentations.
