Role Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Government Relations Director to lead and manage all regulatory, compliance, and government-facing interactions across the Kingdom. This role is critical to ensuring that the company operates in full alignment with Saudi labor, commercial, municipal, and regulatory frameworks while building long-term relationships with key government bodies.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep understanding of KSA regulations, strong influencing ability, and proven experience navigating complex government processes at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all government relations activities, ensuring timely processing of licenses, regulatory approvals, permits, visas, and compliance requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with ministries and authorities, including MOL, MOC, MOFA, GOSI, QIWA, ZATCA, Chamber of Commerce, Municipalities, and other regulatory bodies.
- Advise the CEO and senior leadership on regulatory changes that may impact business operations, expansion plans, or workforce requirements.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with government officials, consultants, and regulatory partners to support strategic initiatives.
- Oversee Saudization strategy and ensure full compliance with Nitaqat regulations and national workforce policies.
- Lead escalations on complex cases, ensuring fast resolution while safeguarding company interests.
- Ensure timely issuance and renewal of commercial registrations, licenses, certificates, and authorizations for all locations.
- Manage all government-related audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Evaluate regulatory risks and provide strategic recommendations to protect and enhance business operations.
- Develop and improve internal processes to increase speed, transparency, and compliance in all government-related transactions.
- Lead and mentor the Government Relations team, ensuring high performance and strong service delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Public Administration, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Government Relations within large organizations (retail/FMCG/hospitality preferred).
- Deep understanding of Saudi labor laws, commercial regulations, and licensing processes.
- Strong network across key ministries and government bodies.
- Exceptional communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong leadership presence, strategic mindset, and ability to influence key decision-makers.
- Proven ability to manage complex government procedures with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.
