Northrop Grumman is seeking a Corporate Government relations director overseeing government relations with Middle East-based DoD operational forces and US Mil Groups located in the ME region and be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective U.S. customer relationships across CENTCOM, and the US Service components to foster an in-depth understanding of multi-service military requirements of the Middle East Theater. The incumbent will maintain and apply a thorough understanding of Middle East political systems and the workings of relevant processes. This includes utilizing knowledge of Middle East structures to inform the strategy for growth of NG's business in the Middle East.
The incumbent will create, maintain & strengthen relationships with all parliamentary, governmental, and other political stakeholders, as well as relevant stakeholders in the military and industry, providing insight that will proactively inform & improve NG's strategy in the Middle East.
The Director will orchestrate and coordinate high level customer interface with all military services and other customer organizations designated by the Regional Exec. This engagement will be accomplished in collaboration with other corporate and sector teams through internal cross-sector and external strategy development and outreach. Ultimately the goal is to create a network that NG can continue to build on.
The role will be based out of Abu Dhabi, UAE, with a primary focus in Middle East, traveling to throughout the region and to other regions of the world as necessary.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Primary POC in the region with all US forces, CENTCOM and MilGroups in the ME region
Coordinate, integrate, and synchronize corporate and sector customer engagements and campaign strategies, and facilitate the development of new business opportunities within customer markets.
Support corporate and sector teams in the design, construction, and execution of customer analysis plans, strategic customer approach plans, and customer contact plans.
Provide inputs for the development of company priority programs.
Maintain awareness of significant policy, program, budget, and legislative initiatives effecting corporate goals.
Basic Qualifications:
Completed Masters degree in relevant fields and/or equivalent qualifications within the armed forces.
Current US Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance; maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
The selected candidate will be required to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP/SAR) clearance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company, and also by customer and/or program requirements; maintaining a SAP/SAR clearance will be a condition of continued employment.
Excellent understanding of military and political relations with a strong focus on the defence and/or military aerospace sectors, with an extensive network.
Must have a complete cultural understanding for working with an American contractor and bridging the gap with local business acquisition, negotiation and contract execution.
A high level of confidence, integrity, and a hands-on approach to problem solving as well as a professional executive presence for interacting with and influencing DoD decision makers, senior management, and executives internal and external to the company.
Ability to identify opportunities to expand and deepen partnerships with the Middle East.
Experience with DoD budget, acquisition, and requirements processes.
