Government Relations Executive

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

  • Prepare and maintain a quarterly renewal schedule for labor cards and visas; notify respective Department Heads in advance for timely action

  • Process applications for:

    • Labor card and labor contract renewals via MOHRE

    • Residence visa renewals, amendments, and cancellations via Immigration (GDRFA)

    • Designation changes with MOHRE

  • Apply for and monitor daily Zajel approvals via the EDNRD system

  • Manage labor and visa cancellation processes for terminated/resigned employees

  • Handle UAE National (Emirati) pension registration and cancellation in coordination with GPSSA

  • Coordinate the renewal of Civil Defence certificates and Establishment Cards across all licensed entities

  • Respond accurately to employee and department inquiries regarding visa, labor card renewal, or cancellation processes

  • Identify, escalate, and resolve system issues or pending applications through follow-up with authorities and internal teams

  • Ensure timely registration and compliance for all Emirati employees in both MOHRE and pension systems, avoiding delays and fines

  • Track and monitor the Emiratization quota for each company license under AWR Group; regularly update the GR Manager on:

    • Quota status per license

    • Gaps due to resignations, new expat hires, or missed deadlines

    • Required actions to meet MOHRE's annual 2% increase targets

  • Coordinate with the HRBP team to flag risks related to Emiratization non-compliance, blocked systems, or potential fines

  • Submit and follow up on monthly GR reports detailing visa activity, renewals, cancellations, and Emiratization compliance

  • Maintain a centralized and up-to-date documentation database for all labor and immigration records

  • Provide administrative support such as drafting letters, system uploads, data entry, and assisting with government audits or inspections as required

Educational Qualification

  • High School or a Graduate degree

Work Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar field

Competencies

  • Good background in computer applications

  • Good communication (verbal and written)

  • Highly organized and detail oriented

Languages

  • Preferably an Arabic speaker
