Government Relations Officer

The Government Relations Officer (GRO) is responsible for managing all government-related transactions and approvals for the real estate development company. The role requires strong working relationships with Dubai Land Department (DLD), RERA, Dubai Municipality, Trakheesi, Civil Defence, DEWA, and other relevant authorities to ensure smooth processing of permits, registrations, NOCs, and compliance requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesGovernment & Regulatory Liaison

  • Act as the main point of contact with DLD, RERA, Dubai Municipality, Trakheesi, Civil Defence, DEWA, and other authorities.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with government officials to expedite approvals and resolve issues.
  • Follow up on all government transactions to ensure timely completion.

Permits, NOCs & Registrations

  • Process project registration with DLD & RERA (developer registration, escrow accounts, project approvals).
  • Handle NOC applications related to master developers, utilities, and authorities.
  • Manage advertising permits, signage permits, QR code approvals, and marketing material approvals.
  • Coordinate approvals for off-plan projects, Oqood registration, title deeds, and escrow compliance.

Real Estate Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all RERA laws, DLD regulations, and real estate development guidelines.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and advise management on changes affecting projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of permits, approvals, and official documents.

Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, legal, finance, and project teams to align approvals and timelines.
  • Provide status updates on government processes to management.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a GRO / PRO in real estate development or brokerage.
  • Strong working knowledge of DLD, RERA, Trakheesi, and Dubai Municipality systems.
  • Proven experience in NOCs, permits, project registration, and escrow processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple government processes simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken & written).
  • Valid UAE driving license preferred.
