Government Relations Officer

Provide support to the BU in all establishment matters relating to registration of the business activity/company with appropriate authorities, trade license procurement and renewals, approvals, correspondence, fees, processes and documentation associated with the Government Authorities of UAE.

Responsibilities

Functional Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide advice on establishment matters, quasi-legal and quasi-commercial issues within GR ambit to assist unit/operation management in meeting all procedural/legal obligations in setting up and running their operations/business activities as planned.
• Optimize on time and cost associated with various commercial GR processes with a view to provide value added and specialized service to all in-house, partnership and sponsored companies of the Group.
• Monitor the expiry dates of Trade Licenses, Agency Agreements and all related documents, to ensure that their renewal process begins at least 2 months in advance and concludes on or before the due date; compile requests for issuance or renewal of Trade Licenses, Commercial Registrations, Permits and Agency Agreements and ensure processing of the same in a timely and accurate manner.
• Draft and issue letters/ complete forms in Arabic for various trade activity approvals from Municipality/Economic Department/concerned governmental body, as and when required.
• Respond, represent and effectively deal with any employee or business interface with the law enforcement or judicial authority.
• Provide suitable assistance in GR related activities to HR team whenever required and address their queries/issues concerning the ATG and Group companies' files with labour & Immigration.
• Maintain healthy business relations with officials of various Govt. Depts., all over U.A.E. to facilitate timely issuance/renewal of Trade Licenses and Agency Agreements.

Qualifications

Education/Certification and Continued Education

• Preferably graduate in any discipline (min A level or equivalent schooling)

Years of Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
