Government Relations Specialist (GR Specialist)
Job Overview
The Government Relations Specialist is responsible for managing all interactions and official transactions with government entities, including monitoring permits, licenses, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role serves as a strategic link between the organization and government authorities to ensure smooth operations, minimize legal risks, and support the organization’s operational and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Government Transactions Management
o Monitor and follow up on the issuance and renewal of licenses, permits, and certificates required for daily operations.
o Submit official requests to government entities and track them until completion.
o Resolve any issues or delays in government processes efficiently.
2. Compliance & Legal Follow-up
o Ensure that all transactions and procedures comply with local laws and regulations.
o Monitor changes in government regulations and inform management as needed.
3. Relations & Coordination o Build and maintain professional relationships with government officials and staff.
o Coordinate with internal departments to provide accurate documentation and information on time.
4. Reporting & Analysis
o Prepare periodic reports on the status of government transactions and required documents.
o Provide recommendations to improve dealings with government entities and expedite processes.
5. Strategic Support
o Participate in developing strategies to facilitate interactions with government entities.
o Advise management on best practices for efficient handling of official transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws and government regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic; English is an advantage.
